About

Thumper 8D is an Artist statement exploring technologies and creates images sometimes in collaboration with others or solo, exploring the future. the now and the past.

This work explores the convergence of sound and visual art within the framework of our evolving industrial and post-industrial realities. Rooted in the mechanical rhythms of the industrial era, yet interwoven with organic forms, the piece navigates a tension between the synthetic and the natural — a hybrid space where machines hum with lifelike resonance and living systems mimic algorithmic precision.

Drawing from socioeconomic and sociopolitical structures, the installation reflects on how technology shapes labor, identity, and survival in late modernity. Robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence are not distant futures but present forces—machines with memories, shaped by capital, coded by ideology. Their presence is both ominous and intimate.

Sound here is not just an element but a language — a tactile force that vibrates through sculptural materials, industrial relics, and organic matter. Audio frequencies act as both disruptors and connectors, dissolving boundaries between form and function, between human and machine.

Philosophically, the work questions the nature of progress: what is lost and gained in our relentless pursuit of efficiency and control? Can organic intelligence coexist with synthetic logic? What does it mean to be human in a world where every object is infused with data and every movement monitored?

Through this multi-sensory experience, the work invites viewers to feel the pulse of an era caught between decay and rebirth, automation and intuition, structure and spirit.
